Summary: This module focused on teaching to diversity and differentiation as a practice of universal design for learning. We also looked at personality types and coaching implications for each type of personality.
Reflection and Application: Assessing my own personality type through the Myers and Briggs self-identifying assessment was a very eye opening activity (I received intuition, sensing, introversion and perceiving). Knowing my strengths helps we know how I can best accommodate students and it also lets me know where I may require coaching. I know the very comprehensive, well organized binder resource provided in this module will continue to be an excellent source of reference on UDL for years to come.
Since this session (and using the binder resource), I have helped implement a school-wide UDL Multiple Intelligence Survey by creating a preliminary lesson and disseminating it to teachers. It is available here:
